What is IcoMoon?

IcoMoon is a free online icon-font and SVG generator built by independent developer Keyamoon. You pick glyphs in the IcoMoon app at icomoon.io, then export them as a webfont (TTF, WOFF or WOFF2) or as an SVG sprite for modern build pipelines. The project also ships IcoMoon Free — an open-source starter set of 491 icons, dual-licensed under GPL and CC BY 4.0 — plus paid packs like the Ultimate pack with 1,500+ premium icons for $59 one-time. Common questions (licensing, commercial use, troubleshooting) get direct answers in the FAQ.

The hero grid above is a taste of the set. The full, searchable icons list covers every glyph — each icon gets its own page with SVG and PNG downloads, icon codes for stylesheets, and copy-paste snippets for markup. Developers who just want the lookup table should bookmark the cheat sheet.

Everything the official docs keep short

This site fills the gaps around the generator itself: downloadable assets, lookup tables and integration recipes that answer the questions developers actually search for.

Free downloads, every format

Grab the complete IcoMoon Free pack as TTF, WOFF, WOFF2 or a zip of raw SVGs — a clean free download with the original license included.

Cheat sheet & unicode list

One big table mapping every icon name to its unicode list entry and CSS class — the cheat sheet developers keep open in a pinned tab.

Guides for real stacks

Step-by-step setup for React, npm, CDN embeds and SVG sprite workflows — the integration recipes the official site only hints at.

Free vs premium, honestly

The IcoMoon app itself costs nothing to use, and the free set covers most everyday UI needs. If you outgrow it, the Ultimate pack ($59, one-time) adds 1,500+ consistent icons with SVG sources, and subscriptions start at $9 for 30 days. See the full pricing breakdown for which tier actually makes sense — and when you should simply stay on the free set.

How it compares

Font Awesome has the bigger ecosystem, and Fontello is a fine lightweight alternative — we are not here to pretend otherwise. But neither lets you build a custom icon font from your own SVGs the way IcoMoon does. Detailed, honest comparisons are on this site's roadmap, alongside a full review based on real project use.

Every icon distributed here comes from the official IcoMoon-Free repository on GitHub, © Keyamoon, GPL / CC BY 4.0. This is an independent, unofficial resource site — for the online generator itself, always use the official icomoon.io.

Need more than 491 icons?

The Ultimate pack is a one-time $59 purchase — no subscription — with 1,500+ icons in a single consistent style, SVG sources included.
